The Importance of a 40 Gallon RV Water Tank
As an avid RV traveler, I have come to truly appreciate the value of having a 40 gallon water tank on board. It may seem like a small detail, but trust me, it makes all the difference in my overall experience on the road.
First and foremost, having a large water tank allows me to have access to clean and fresh water at all times. This is especially important when traveling to remote areas where there are no water hookups. I can simply fill up my tank before hitting the road and have enough water for cooking, drinking, and showering for several days.
In addition, a 40 gallon water tank provides me with peace of mind. I never have to worry about running out of water or rationing it during my trips. This allows me to fully enjoy my travels without any unnecessary stress or inconvenience.
Another reason why a 40 gallon RV water tank is necessary is for boondocking or dry camping. In these situations, I am not connected to any external sources of water and rely solely on what is in my tank. With a larger capacity tank, I can stay off-grid for longer periods of time without having to constantly refill or find a place with hook
My Buying Guide on ’40 Gallon Rv Water Tank’
As an avid RVer, I know how important it is to have a reliable and efficient water system on board. After doing extensive research and using various RV water tanks, I have come to the conclusion that a 40 gallon RV water tank is the perfect size for most RVers. In this buying guide, I will share my first-hand experience and provide you with all the necessary information to help you make an informed decision when purchasing a 40 gallon RV water tank.
1. Determine Your Water Needs
The first step in choosing the right RV water tank is to determine your water needs. This will depend on the number of people traveling with you, the duration of your trips, and your daily water usage. A 40 gallon RV water tank is suitable for a family of two to four people who are planning trips that last up to a week.
2. Consider The Type of Tank
When it comes to RV water tanks, there are two main types: plastic and aluminum. Plastic tanks are more affordable, lightweight, and easy to install. On the other hand, aluminum tanks are more durable and can withstand extreme weather conditions. Depending on your budget and camping style, choose the type that best suits your needs.
3. Check The Quality
The quality of an RV water tank is crucial as it directly affects its durability and performance. Make sure to read reviews from other users or ask for recommendations from fellow RVers before making a purchase. Look for tanks made from food-grade materials that are BPA-free and safe for storing drinking water.
4. Check The Fittings And Accessories
An efficient water system requires proper fittings and accessories that allow for easy filling and draining of the tank. Make sure to check if the tank comes with all necessary fittings such as inlet/outlet ports, drain valves, vent caps, etc. Some tanks also come with additional features such as built-in gauges or sensors that indicate the level of water in the tank.
5. Consider The Weight And Size
A 40 gallon RV water tank can be quite heavy when filled with water, so it’s essential to consider its weight and size before purchasing one. Measure the space available in your RV where you plan to install the tank and make sure it fits comfortably without taking up too much space.
6.Make Sure It’s Easy To Clean And Maintain
Cleanliness is crucial when it comes to storing drinking water in an RV tank. Look for tanks that are easy to clean and maintain by having wide openings or removable caps for thorough cleaning.
7.Compare Prices And Warranty
Last but not least, compare prices from different brands while keeping in mind their quality and features offered. Also, make sure to check if there is any warranty provided by the manufacturer in case of any defects or malfunctions.
I hope this buying guide has provided you with valuable insights into choosing the right 40 gallon RV water tank for your next adventure! Happy camping!
